Narrative – Ann Niu, Chen San, Carlos Franco, Giancarlo Tognoni Group Exhibition

The past events are recorded as stories; the past events are recorded as accidents. Most history is a tool for objectively recording the past. People use words to excerpt "facts" frame by frame from an infinitely flowing timeline. However, although painting is often used as an auxiliary recording medium, it incorporates more "subjective" factors. Whether it is the subjective aesthetics of the painter or the subjective understanding of the viewer's visual experience, compared with words, It has become more diverse and ever-changing.

This exhibition takes "Narrative" as its theme, taking viewers on a journey between the Eastern and Western continents in the past and present, and brings the Spanish artist Carlos Franco's prints of the European mythology "Aeneid" ; Italian artist Giancarlo Tognoni’s soft cubism seen through time and space; Taiwanese artist Chen San’s constructive series based on phenomenology, and Shanghai artist Ann Niu’s  “Mazu”  series that explores traditional folk beliefs.
